Intercepted Missile Debris Injures One in Saudi Arabia’s Aseer Province

Oct 03, Kathmandu - One person was injured after debris from an intercepted ballistic missile fell in Saudi Arabia’s southern Aseer Province, the Saudi Civil Defense said.

The missile was intercepted and destroyed in the air on Saturday over Ahad Rufaydah Governorate, the department said. An Asian national was injured.

Falling debris damaged several vehicles inside a building and caused damage to a prayer room, Civil Defense said in a social media post.

The incident followed another projectile launched by Houthi rebels on Friday that landed at a school in the Saudi city of Najran, causing property damage, according to the department.
