Sep 27, Kathmandu - Four people died in a helicopter crash in the Canadian province of Quebec on Saturday.

Police were called to the crash at around 2:30 p.m. in the Sainte-Brigide-d'Iberville area, about 55 kilometers southeast of Montreal.

The helicopter caught fire after the crash. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control within an hour. All four people on board the helicopter died at the scene, police said.

According to a preliminary investigation, the helicopter developed an emergency shortly after takeoff. They then said the helicopter crashed.

Police have not yet released information about the ownership of the crashed helicopter, its departure and destination, or the identities of the deceased.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has sent an investigation team to the scene to investigate the crash in detail.
