Sep 22, Kathmandu - The Supreme Court has mandated Bharatmani Dahal to appear in court within 24 hours.

A single-judge bench led by Justice Kumar Regmi directed Dahal to be brought before the court in custody and to submit a written response. The order was issued to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Office of the Council of Ministers, and the opposition parties.

The court issued this directive while hearing a petition for his detention.

The court further stated that Dahal must appear with investigation documents and in custody within 24 hours from the receipt of the order, excluding the period of travel.

Additionally, Dahal is required to submit a written response.

He was detained by police on Sunday on allegations of cybercrime.
