Slight Improvement in NEPSE after Technical issues Resolved

Sep 22, Kathmandu - The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a slight improvement on Tuesday Ashwin 6.

On this day, the NEPSE index increased by 7.06 points or 0.26 percent to close at 2,654.28 points. After the government's reduced capital gains tax came into effect with its publication in the gazette on Monday Ashwin 5, investors were expected to be enthusiastic and trading increased, but this did not happen much.

A total of 21.589 million 761 shares of 356 companies were bought and sold. The total trading amount reached 7.05 billion 39.98 million 624 rupees. The shares were bought and sold through a total of 70,691 transactions, according to NEPSE.

The share prices of 138 companies rose. The share prices of 130 companies fell. The share prices of 11 companies remained stable.

The companies with the highest trading volume are Hathaway Investment, Himalayan Distillery, Ghalemdi Hydropower, Liberty Energy, and Kumari Bank. The companies that lost the most were Snow River Limited, Narayani Development Bank and Bottlers Nepal.

On Monday, the first trading day of the week, a technical problem was observed in the Deda Hub of brokerage companies. Trading was then suspended.
