Hong Kong Sets Target of 262 Runs Against Nepal in ACC Premier Cup Century by Babar Hayat Sparks Excitement

Sep 08, Kathmandu - Hong Kong posted a target of 262 runs for Nepal in the ACC Premier Cup after a commanding batting performance led by Babar Hayat's century. 

Winning the toss and electing to bat on Tuesday at Malaysia's Biomass Oval, Hong Kong scored 261 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their 50 overs. 

Hayat's stellar innings of 117 runs was unbeaten, featuring seven fours and seven sixes off 126 balls. Shahid Wasif contributed 45 runs, Ehsan Khan remained not out with 35, Jison Ali scored 15, and Anshuman Rath added 13. 

The pair of Hayat and Ehsan Khan shared an unbeaten 128-run partnership for the eighth wicket, boosting Hong Kong's total. 

Nepal's captain Sandeep Lamichhane took four wickets, while Shree Malla claimed three wickets in the match.
