Sep 01, Kathmandu - In the devastating floods triggered by a sudden surge in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa, nearly 987 people have been confirmed dead as of Tuesday morning. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) reported that rescue teams have retrieved the bodies from various districts.

Despite ongoing efforts, 3,916 individuals remain uncontacted, and 279 others are injured. So far, a total of 11,814 people have been rescued from the flood-affected areas. The authorities continue to intensify rescue and relief operations to assist those affected by the calamity.
