Nepal Federal Government Employees to Receive Salaries Twice a Month Starting Soon

Aug 18, Kathmandu - All employees under the federal government service will now receive their salaries twice a month, with payments scheduled every 15 days. This decision was made by the Ministry of Finance on Baisakh 4 (April 17).

Following the policy directives from the Ministry of Finance, the Office of the Controller General of Accounts has issued a circular to the Treasury and Accounts Office, the Pension Office, and the offices of Kumari Chowk and the Central Secretariat to implement this new arrangement.

According to the circular, government employees will now be paid their salaries and allowances in semi-monthly installments after the 15th of each month. Previously, employees received their full monthly salary only after the month ended.
