Aug 13, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shashank Koirala has reiterated that Sher Bahadur Deuba remains the party president. Koirala, who arrived at the airport to welcome Deuba after nearly five months abroad, expressed confidence that the party is moving towards unification.

Koirala, also the coordinator of the organizing committee for the alternative faction’s national gathering, stated that their efforts are aimed at strengthening party unity. 

The faction is scheduled to hold a national assembly in Kathmandu tomorrow, with Deuba expected to inaugurate the event.
