Aug 03, Kathmandu - Kathmandu University (KU) has taken a significant step forward in the process of appointing a new Vice-Chancellor. The Selection and Recommendation Committee for the Vice-Chancellor has publicly announced a shortlist of ten candidates from among the received applications.
According to the committee, candidates were evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the "Kathmandu University Vice-Chancellor Selection and Recommendation Procedures, 2083," and the list was prepared in alphabetical order. The shortlisted candidates are Dayaram Pokhrel, Niranjan Parajuli, Balchandra Luitel, Bikas Nakarmi, Bhim Prasad Shrestha, Rajendra Joshi, Bibek Baral, Shesh Nanda Sanjel, Subodh Sharma, and Hari Prasad Neupane.
The committee has also arranged for public feedback and suggestions regarding the shortlisted candidates. Interested individuals and stakeholders can submit their recommendations through the provided Google link by Shrawan 20.
The next phase of the selection process will include candidate presentations and interviews, scheduled to be held at the Ministry of Education and Sports on Shrawan 22. Based on the presentations, interviews, and suggestions received, the committee will recommend the most suitable candidate to the government.
