Eight Arrested in Siraha and Dhanusha for Inciting Social and Communal Harmony

Jul 31, Kathmandu - Authorities have arrested eight individuals from Siraha and Dhanusha districts on charges of engaging in activities that disturb social and communal harmony.

According to details released by the Nepal Police on Friday evening, five individuals from Siraha and three from Dhanusha have been detained. The police stated that investigations are ongoing into their involvement in activities that undermine social cohesion and incite communal tensions.

The police also highlighted increased monitoring of persons involved in spreading rumors, inciting violence, and engaging in activities that threaten social peace. They urged the public to refrain from posting provocative statements, false information, or content that promotes communal hatred on social media or in public spaces.

Authorities emphasized that anyone involved in such activities will be brought to legal justice, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining harmony and peace in society.
