Tiktoker Tulsi Adhikari to Face Preliminary Hearing in Lalitpur Court

Jul 30, Kathmandu - TikToker Tulsa Adhikari is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in the Lalitpur District Court on Thursday regarding ongoing legal proceedings.

The case will be heard before District Judge Bhagwati Sharma Dhungana’s bench. Adhikari is currently in custody, having been detained pending trial. The Lalitpur District Court, under Judge Teknath Gautam, ordered her detention based on evidence presented during investigations.

Adhikari faces charges of money laundering, criminal profiteering, and fraud filed at the Lalitpur District Court. An Interpol Red Notice was issued against her, leading to her arrest in Thailand, from where she was extradited to Nepal with international police assistance.

The government’s lawyer’s office filed the case in Chaitra, accusing her of embezzling over NPR 6.52 crore. The complaint was lodged by a local businessman from Lalitpur, and a total of 10 defendants, including Adhikari, are involved.

The businessman has accused Adhikari, director of Tulsi Collection Pvt. Ltd., of blackmailing him with false rape allegations. He claims that she extorted approximately NPR 4.5 million in cash and valuables through continuous blackmail.
