Health Deteriorates for Dr. Gobinda K.C. During 3-Day Hunger Strike in Dhangadhi; Hospitalized in ICU

Jul 25, Kathmandu - Dr. Govinda K.C., who has been on a three-day hunger strike at the Dharma Shala in Krishna Mandir, Dhangadhi, due to his demands for reforms in medical education and healthcare, was rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital after his health showed signs of deterioration. The hospital has reported that he has been placed in the ICU for treatment.

Dr. K.C. began his 24th hunger strike at Krishna Mandir, protesting for improvements in medical education, healthcare access, and related issues. During the strike, his health condition worsened, prompting his transfer to the hospital.

According to Dr. Amrit Jaisi, a close associate of Dr. K.C., his blood sugar level had dangerously dropped to 50, indicating severe weakness. As his condition declined, he was taken to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi for urgent medical care.

Dr. K.C. has been demanding reforms in the medical education and health sectors, emphasizing the need for accessible healthcare services and addressing related concerns.
