Jul 24, Kathmandu - Authorities have arrested two drug traffickers in Dalkebar, Dhanusha district, after a confrontation with police. The suspects are identified as 28-year-old Santosh Kumar Mahto and 45-year-old Mithilesh Sahu, both Indian nationals.

According to SSP Subhas Bohara of the Bureau of Narcotics Control, police opened fire with one round of warning shots when the traffickers attempted to flee after encountering police on the road to Janakpur in Dalkebar last Friday.

The suspects were found in possession of approximately 95.59 grams of illegal heroin, police said. The operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
