Jul 20, Kathmandu - The grand finale of Miss Nepal 2026 is scheduled for Shrawan 16 at The Plaza in Pulchowk. This year, 24 contestants will compete for the coveted title.

Among the contenders, Hong Kong-based participant Deepmala Dhakal is considered a strong favorite. As the reigning Miss Nepal Hong Kong International 2025, she has showcased impressive performances across various sub-title rounds.

Deepmala has also appealed to supporters to vote for her in the 'Popular Choice' category. She urged her fans via social media, stating, “Voting for the Popular Choice is now open. Your single vote can directly propel your favorite contestant into the Top 13.” Her contestant number is 17.

Having stayed in Nepal for the past four to five months to prepare, Deepmala has been undergoing rigorous training for the pageant. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics and has previously worked with the renowned investment management firm BlackRock.

However, she left her job at BlackRock to pursue her dream of participating in Miss Nepal, inspired by her mother’s own ambition. Her mother had competed in the Miss Nepal pageant in 1994.

Beyond beauty pageants, Deepmala is also active in sports. She is a taekwondo practitioner and a marathon runner, exemplifying her diverse talents and dedication.
