147 Afghan Nationals Released from Pakistani Detention Return Home

Jul 02, Kathmandu - A total of 147 Afghan citizens, who were detained in Pakistan, have returned to Afghanistan, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation announced on Thursday.

According to the ministry, 125 of the returnees crossed the Torkham border into Afghanistan, while 22 entered through Spin Boldak. The individuals were detained due to lacking proper legal documentation and expired residence permits, the ministry stated.

Upon their return, the returnees received necessary humanitarian assistance and were transported to their respective home provinces, the ministry added.
