Govt Seeks Public Feedback for Updating National School Curriculum

Jun 25, Kathmandu - A newly formed task force tasked with reviewing the school-level curriculum has invited feedback and suggestions from stakeholders. The initiative aims to revise the “National Curriculum Framework 2076 to align with current educational needs.

The Curriculum Development Center has published a feedback form on its official website, encouraging the public and concerned parties to share their opinions. This step follows the 98th meeting of the National Curriculum Development and Evaluation Council held on Baishakh 11, chaired by Minister of Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel. The meeting appointed a task force led by Professor Dr. Bal Chandra Luintel, Dean of the School of Education at Kathmandu University.

The review is prompted by the completion of a five-year cycle since the implementation of the 2076 curriculum framework, beginning with the academic year 2080. Members of the task force include Dr. Lekhnath Poudel, Dr. Amina Singh, Pabitram Bahadur Gautam, Dr. Pramod Bhatta, Gyanendra Malla, Sagendra Shrestha, Recha Neupane, and Rebati Karki. The Director General of the Curriculum Development Center, Yuvraj Poudel, has been appointed as the member secretary.
