Jun 25, Kathmandu - A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Glocal Pvt. Ltd. and Times Higher Education on the sidelines of the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026 organized by Times Higher Education (THE) in Jakarta.

This collaboration is seen as an important step towards enhancing the quality, international reach and global participation of Nepal’s higher education sector.

The MoU was signed by Ashish Thakur, Chairman of Glocal Pvt. Ltd. and Mei Mei Lim, Chairman of Times Higher Education’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Through this collaboration, Times Higher Education’s global experience in higher education and Glocal’s experience in the fields of education, youth and skills development will be integrated to make a positive contribution to the higher education sector in Nepal and South Asia.

It is stated that collaboration will be carried out in the areas of improving the educational quality, international recognition, impact assessment and strategic development of universities and related government agencies in Nepal. In addition, it is stated that necessary support will be provided for world-class practices, data-based decision-making and institutional reform.
