Govt Accelerates Exam Results Release, Demonstrating Strong Commitment to Good Governance and Educational Reforms

Jun 19, Kathmandu - Education and Sports Minister and Government Spokesperson Sasmit Pokhrel has lauded the swift release of the Class 12 exam results this year, calling it a significant milestone in good governance and educational reform.

During a press briefing following the cabinet meeting on Friday, Minister Pokhrel expressed confidence that the prompt publication of results would positively impact the overall academic calendar.

He revealed that this year, the Class 12 results were announced within 40 days of the examinations, a remarkable improvement from previous years when it often took more than three months. The minister attributed this efficiency to streamlined administrative processes.

Highlighting the repercussions of delayed results on university admissions, class schedules, and examinations, Pokhrel emphasized that timely result publication would motivate universities to conduct exams and publish results without delay. Notably, Tribhuvan University and other institutions have already prepared to commence admissions and academic activities ahead of schedule this year.

“This is not just about saving days but a strong example of good governance,” he stated. “By eliminating unnecessary administrative hurdles, we have proven that results can be delivered within 40 days. This ensures that university admissions and academic sessions start on time.”

Congratulating all students who participated in the exams, Minister Pokhrel urged them to view the results as a milestone in their lives and advised students not to be disheartened by any unfavorable outcomes. He encouraged students to prepare for supplementary exams (grade improvement) and assured that sufficient opportunities and resources are available at Nepalese universities for their future educational pursuits.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to prevent students’ valuable time from being wasted and to enhance the efficiency of educational institutions, promising to maintain such performance standards in the future.
