Jun 19, Kathmandu - Leaders and members of the Kathmandu district committee of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have collectively resigned from the party. Citing disagreements over the party's policies, principles, and ideological direction, several leaders and activists working across various levels in Kathmandu submitted their resignations simultaneously.
RPP leader and Kathmandu Chairperson Nawaraj Simkhada issued a statement on social media, clarifying the reasons behind the mass resignation. He emphasized that the party's lack of unity in policy and conduct prompted the decision.
“RPP has been deviating from its core policies, principles, and ideas, and there is a lack of consistency in our words and actions. Therefore, Kathmandu RPP has submitted a joint resignation,” Simkhada stated.
This move marks a significant development within the party, reflecting internal disagreements and potential shifts in Kathmandu’s political landscape.
