Nepali MP Ashika Tamang Calls for Stricter Border Measures with India

Jun 15, Kathmandu - Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Ashika Tamang has urged the government to tighten border security with India. During a session of the House of Representatives, she emphasized the need for concrete diplomatic efforts and possibly erecting fences or barbed wire along the border areas if necessary.

Tamang stated, “The government should thoroughly investigate all border-related issues and take necessary diplomatic steps. If required, borders should be fenced with the consent of both countries; otherwise, barbed wire should be installed.”

She also raised concerns over sensitive border regions including Susta, Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiadhura, urging the government to pay special attention to these areas.
