IME Celebrates 26 Years of Financial Inclusion and Digital Innovation

Jun 14, Kathmandu - IME Limited marked its 26th anniversary with a vision to drive financial inclusion and digital transformation. Founder and Chairman Hemraj Dhakal emphasized that the company’s core mantra has always been financial inclusion and economic revolution.

Dhakal reaffirmed IME’s commitment to delivering more sophisticated, secure, and rapid integrated financial services through digital innovation in the coming days. Drawing from personal experiences abroad, he highlighted that IME’s remittance service was born from a small idea but has grown into a reliable and integral part of Nepal’s entire financial and digital payment system.

He also noted that IME has played a vital role in expanding financial access from remote villages to urban areas, contributing significantly to socio-economic transformation and inclusive growth.

With advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, Dhakal stated that IME is dedicated to adopting the latest technology to enhance the safety, speed, and sophistication of remittance and other financial services. The focus remains on technological development as a key driver of economic transformation.

Group Chairman Chandraprasad Dhakal, the founder of IME, expressed pride in establishing a unique identity where “Remit is IME” and “IME is Remit” over the past 26 years. He committed to working closely with the government to formalize remittance channels, strengthen foreign currency reserves, and channel remittance inflows into productive sectors to boost the national economy.
