Jun 13, Kathmandu - Shram Sanskriti Party (SSP) Chairman Harka Sampang has sought the opinion of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) on Prime Minister Balen Shah's speech in Parliament regarding the border with India.
In an open letter to RSP Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, Chairman Sampang has demanded that Nepal make public the party's opinion on the Prime Minister's statement.
"In the meeting of the House of Representatives held on 2083-2-17, your party member and Prime Minister of the Government of Nepal Balendra Shah made the statement that 'Nepal has also encroached on the border with India in many places' while answering questions asked by the parliamentarians," said the letter made public by Chairman Sampang on Facebook.
After Prime Minister Balen made such a statement regarding the border with India in the House of Representatives meeting, the opposition parties had obstructed the parliament.
They had demanded that Prime Minister Balen's statement be removed from the parliament's record and that he should appear in the parliament and correct his statement.
The opposition parties' obstruction was removed after Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal responded to the issue in Parliament on Wednesday.
