Two Members of Iranian Air Defense Unit Killed in Israeli Attack

Jun 09, Kathmandu - Iran's state broadcaster, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), said two members of Iran's air defense unit were killed in an Israeli strike on Monday.

The two soldiers were killed while carrying out their duties to protect the country's airspace, according to the report. No further details about the incident were released.

Meanwhile, Israel and Iran have resumed a ceasefire after a series of missile attacks in recent days. But Tehran has warned that it could resume military action if the Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon continue.

US President Donald Trump told reporters on Tuesday that a new deal between the US and Iran could be reached within two or three days. He said the deal would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and help the vital Strait of Hormuz sea route reopen to full operations immediately.
