Jun 09, Kathmandu - Independent MP Mahabir Pun is set to become a minister. Prime Minister Balendra Shah Balen has given Pun the responsibility of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

His oath-taking will be held today. Pun was the Minister of Education in the Sushila Karki-led government. He resigned and went to contest the election after not receiving support to carry out the reforms.

Pun is the only MP other than the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to become a minister in the Balen government. He won the election from Myagdi.
