Iran Fires Ballistic Missile at Israel

Jun 08, Kathmandu - Iran fired two ballistic missiles towards Israel on Sunday night, international media reported. The missiles were fired after Israel attacked Beirut, saying they targeted the Iranian-backed armed group Hezbollah.

This was the first time Iran has fired missiles at Israel since a ceasefire between the two sides came into effect in April. It has complicated efforts to extend the ceasefire further.

“Sirens were sounded in various parts of the country after missiles were detected being launched from Iran towards the State of Israel some time ago,” the Israeli military said in a statement.
