Jun 06, Kathmandu - The district convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is starting today. As per the party's organizational policy, district conventions will be held today and tomorrow as decided by the central committee.
According to RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, the conventions of 37 districts will be concluded today and tomorrow.
The schedule for holding the district convention from today and tomorrow to Asadha 1 is as follows:
The first general convention has been scheduled to be held in Chitwan from Asadha 7 to 9.
The districts where the convention will be held on Jestha 23 are:
Koshi Province: Jhapa, Morang, Tehrathum, Taplejung, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Okhaldhunga and Sunsari.
Madhesh Province: Mahottari and Rautahat
Bagmati Province: Dolakha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Dhading, Makawanpur, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk and Sindhuli.
Gandaki Province: Syangja, Kaski, Parbat, Baglung and Myagdi.
Lumbini Province: Gulmi, Nawalparasi, Palpa, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya and Rolpa.
Karnali Province: Kalikot and Salyan and Baitadi, Bajhang and Darchula districts of Sudurpaschim Province.
The districts where the convention will be held on Jestha 24 are: Koshi Province: Udayapur, Solukhumbu, Khotang and Ilam.
Madhesh Province: Siraha, Dhanusha, Parsa and Sarlahi.
Bagmati Province: Chitwan and Lalitpur.
Gandaki Province: Tanahun, Nawalpur, Gorkha and Lamjung.
Lumbini Province: Arghakhanchi, Rupandehi and Pyuthan.
Karnali Province: Surkhet, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum, Mugu and Jumla.
Far-West Province: Achham, Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Kanchanpur and Bajura
Due to the special circumstances of the organization, the Bara district convention will be held on Jestha 26, Burlakoti informed.
According to this schedule, preparations are underway to hold conventions in 67 out of 77 districts before the party's historic first national convention. With this, conventions in most of the districts where the party's main organization is located will be completed. Conventions in the remaining 10 districts will be held gradually after the national convention.
Preparations are underway for conventions in seven provinces from Jestha 26. The first provincial convention is starting from Bagmati Province on Jestha 26.
