US Launches Powerful Airstrikes on Iranian Military Targets

Jun 01, Kathmandu - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has carried out a series of powerful airstrikes targeting multiple military sites within Iran over the weekend. The US claims these actions were conducted in self-defense.

According to American officials, the strikes targeted radar and drone command-and-control centers located in Ghoruk and Qeshm islands in Iran. The US released a statement shortly after Kuwait, which hosts an American military base, officially announced that it had detected incoming drones and missiles headed toward its territory.

The US military described the operations as a necessary response to Iran's recent aggressive actions, including the downing of an American MQ-1 drone over international waters.

In addition, Kuwait's defense authorities reported intercepting incoming drones and missiles en route to the country on Monday, though they did not specify the origin of the attacks.

Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for targeting an American base in retaliation for the US airstrikes conducted within Iranian military sites over the weekend. This development has heightened speculation that Iran may be behind the recent attacks in Kuwait as well.
