Jun 01, Kathmandu - Celebrated singer and composer Dipesh Shrestha is set to showcase his most significant songs to music enthusiasts in a unique and soulful concert. Organized by Book Hill Publications, the inaugural edition of the "Book Hill Ballads" series will feature Shrestha performing his songs in diverse styles.

The event, titled "Book Hill Ballads: Deepesh Shrestha (Ma pathar ko Deuta Hoina)", is scheduled for this Friday, June 16, at Shilpi Theater in Kathmandu. Shrestha will share stories from his musical journey spanning from 2005 to the present, alongside beloved hits and new compositions, as announced by Book Hill.

Book Hill, known for its contribution to literature, music, and culture, plans to host this series every three months, providing a platform for artists to connect with audiences through live performances.

Deepesh Shrestha, often regarded as a “Living Legend” of Nepali music, made his debut with the hit song "Ma Patharko Deuta Hoina" and has since become a household name. Over nearly six decades, he has lent his voice and compositions to thousands of songs.

Some of his timeless tracks include "Ma Patharko Deuta Hoina," "Hu Yatri," "Kati Kamzor Rahe Chha Bhagya," "Bhanthi Meri Uni," "Jhaskincha Man Mero," "Biteka Kura Le," "Har Raat Sapani Ma," "Ma Ta Dur Dekhi Aaye," and "Jhirma Uninu Euta Kura," which continue to resonate with audiences.
