Nepali Parliament Passes Two Key Electoral Bills in Majority Vote

May 31, Kathmandu - The National Assembly has approved two crucial bills related to elections. During today's session, the House passed the Representation of the People (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, and the Voter List (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, both with an overwhelming majority.

Earlier in the session, Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sobita Gautam, speaking on behalf of the Prime Minister and Home Minister Balendra Shah, had presented separate proposals urging the approval of these bills.
