Senior Leader Balendra Shah Slams Government for Ignoring Parliamentary Questions for 56 Days

May 22, Kathmandu - Senior leader Balendra Shah of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) expressed strong dissatisfaction after the government, led by him, failed to respond to questions raised by members of the National Assembly for 56 days. During the ongoing session of the National Assembly, members voiced their frustration, stating that whether they spoke with stones or dirt, the government remained silent.

Members of the Communist Party of NCP Nara Bahadur Bista and UML MP Somnath Partel emphasized the need for elected representatives to address issues faced by the people.

“Yelling from one hilltop echoes to another, but the government remains silent for 56 days,” remarked UML MP Partel.

He further urged the Speaker to request the government to provide answers and even weep if necessary for the neglect. Similarly, MP Bista stated that it is inappropriate for the government not to respond to questions raised in the National Assembly even after 56 days of formation.
