May 12, Kathmandu - Nepal’s Minister for Health, Population, and Drinking Water, Nisha Mehata, received Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava in a courtesy meeting at the Ministry of Health in Singha Durbar.
During the discussions, both sides emphasized the importance of long-term and friendly relations between Nepal and India, focusing on ongoing collaboration in the health sector. Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson for the Ministry, stated that the meeting covered a broad range of topics, including mutual cooperation in healthcare development.
Minister Mehata expressed gratitude to the Indian government for its continuous support in advancing Nepal’s health, water, and sanitation sectors. The talks also included plans to strengthen the National Institute of Health Sciences, establish specialized treatment centers, and expand health infrastructure development in the coming days.
This meeting marks a significant step in bolstering bilateral cooperation to improve healthcare services and infrastructure in Nepal.
