State Affairs Committee Meeting Postponed after PM Balen Did Not Attend

May 04, Kathmandu - The meeting of the House of Representatives' State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has been postponed after Prime Minister Balen Shah (Balendra Shah) was unable to attend. The meeting was scheduled for Monday at 11:00 AM.

The committee oversees the Prime Minister's Office and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Federal Affairs and General Administration, Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Public Service Commission, and Election Commission. However, the committee secretary, Kanchha Dulal, explained that it is customary for the committee to convene only when ministers are present, and since the Prime Minister and relevant ministers could not attend, the meeting was postponed.

The agenda of the meeting included discussions on the committee’s scope of work and upcoming activities. The secretariat announced that the meeting was postponed due to special circumstances.
