Cabinet Meeting begins at Singha Durbar

May 04, Kathmandu - The Cabinet has commenced its meeting at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office in Singha Durbar.  

During today's session, the council is expected to deliberate on the report prepared by a five-member task force regarding the abolition and merging of certain federal ministries, and to make decisions accordingly.

Additionally, discussions are likely to focus on recommending to the President to summon the Parliament session.

The five-member task force, headed by Secretary of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Govinda Bahadur Karki, has proposed maintaining a total of 17 ministries at the federal level.
