Nepal Aims for Victory as UAE Trails in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2

Apr 25, Kathmandu - The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is underway at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium. Nepal set a target of 201 runs, and UAE is currently batting in pursuit.

UAE suffered a setback after losing their seventh wicket, with Sandeep Lamichhane claiming the crucial wicket in the 37th over, 3 balls. Lamichhane dismissed Tanveer Beld for 1 run off 12 balls, with Khuzaima caught.

Earlier, Nepal, winning the toss and electing to bat first, posted a total of 200 runs all out in 48 overs and 2 balls. Opener Dipendra Singh Airee was the top scorer with 75 runs, including five fours and two sixes off 90 balls.

Nepal’s batting lineup faced early setbacks as Asif Shrestha was dismissed for 7 runs, while captain Rohit Paudel scored just 2. Kushal Bhurtel contributed 24 runs, Basir Ahmed scored 20, and Karan KC added 22 runs.
