Apr 25, Kathmandu - The Manahara squatter settlements in Kathmandu's Jadibuti area and Bhaktapur's Lokanthali are being evacuated.

Small and medium-sized freight vehicles are busy transporting clothes and zinc sheets from the settlements.

The work of taking out the belongings from the houses and piling them up is underway and loading them when the vehicles arrive. The people living in the squatter settlements here have said that they will evacuate the settlements themselves throughout the day on Saturday.
