Bhupdev becomes RSP General Secretary

Apr 20, Kathmandu - The Rastriya Swatantra Party has made Bhupdev Shah the general secretary. The proposal to make Shah the general secretary was approved by the central committee meeting held on Monday.

Shah had joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party along with senior leader and Prime Minister Balendra Shah. He was the chief personal secretary when Balendra was the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

He was defeated in the Falgun 21 elections after running as a candidate from Achham-2. Although the RSP had prepared to make Sunil Lamsal, close to Balen, the general secretary, and Bhupdev, the joint general secretary.

But since Lamsal is the Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Shah got the opportunity to become the general secretary.
