Apr 18, Kathmandu - A young man lost his life after drowning in Tadi River near Tadi Bridge in Belkotgadhi Municipality-10, Nuwakot. The incident occurred while he was swimming with friends near the bridge in the Tadi River.
According to Nuwakot District Police, five friends were swimming in the river in the afternoon when 18-year-old Sunbahadur Tamang from Karejung, Dupcheshwor Rural Municipality-6, was swept away. His body was recovered about half an hour later during search efforts.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bikram Lama of Nuwakot Police Office confirmed the details and stated that further investigation is ongoing.
The deceased was working as a laborer involved in the reconstruction of the Pasang Lhamu highway. The incident happened when he and his friends went swimming in the Tadi River.
