RSP's Manish Jha Declines Candidacy for Parliamentary Committee Chairmanship

Apr 16, Kathmandu - Mannish Jha, the spokesperson and Member of Parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has announced that he will not be contesting for the position of parliamentary committee chairmanship.

Currently, a parliamentary party meeting is underway at the party's office in Singha Durbar, but Jha is not present at the meeting. According to sources, he is in Janakpur Dham.

During the parliamentary party meeting today, discussions were held regarding the candidates for the parliamentary committee chairmanship. Party leader Balendra Shah and RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane proposed candidates for the positions, with Jha’s name being suggested for the Industry, Commerce, Labour, and Consumer Interests Committee chairmanship.

However, Jha clarified that he will not be a candidate for the parliamentary committee chairmanship. Following this, the party has decided to nominate Rabeer Ansari for the chairmanship of the Industry Committee.
