Apr 14, Kathmandu - Nepali filmmaker Maotse Gurung has announced the release date for his upcoming film "Pension Patta," which is set to hit theaters on Bhadra 26, coinciding with the grand festival of Haritalika Teej. The film's title poster was unveiled on the first day of the new year, marking an auspicious beginning.
Director Gurung shared that the release date was chosen deliberately on a favorable day, also noting that it coincides with actor Dayahang Rai's birthday. "We are the only ones announcing this date so far, after consulting with the distributor and production team. We believe it's a good date, and it will also be good for business," he stated.
Known as the 'Godfather' of Gurung Films, Maotse Gurung has invested his resources into this project. The film features a star-studded cast including Dayahang Rai, Sunil Thapa, Pashupati Rai, Gaumaya Gurung, Budhi Tamang, Wilson Bikram Rai, Raj Thapa Kausha, Lunibha Tuladhar, Beeshwash Gurung, Maya Gurung, Yasili Yokkha, DB Gurung, and Pratichhhya Gurung.
