Apr 14, Kathmandu - Trilbhuvan Army Club captain Binod Bhandari made history by smashing a record-breaking century in the ongoing Prime Minister Cup Men's National Cricket Tournament. Playing at Ram Janaki Cricket Ground, Janakpur, Army defeated Koshi by 185 runs to advance to the final. The department team's next match will be against Sudurpaschim in the final.
Binod faced 150 balls and scored an impressive 189 runs, hitting 21 boundaries and 5 sixes. He reached his century in just 91 balls, becoming the first player in the tournament's history to score consecutive centuries. He had previously scored a century against Sudurpaschim in an earlier match.
Furthermore, Binod has become the first player in the tournament's history to score five centuries. Previously, AFP's Aasif Sheikh held the record with four centuries, while Gandaki's Arjun Kumal scored three.
