Former Nepali Football Captain Biraj Maharjan and Twelve Football Training Center Launch Summer Football Camp to Inspire Youth

Apr 06, Kathmandu - The Twelve Football Training Center, operated by former Nepali national football team captain Viraj Maharjan and goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu, is set to organize a Summer Football Camp aimed at engaging students during their long school holidays.

The camp is scheduled immediately after the final exams to provide a productive and healthy activity for students. Recognizing that many students tend to spend extended hours on electronic devices like phones, laptops, and televisions during vacation, the camp aims to encourage them to stay away from gadgets and promote physical and mental well-being.

In addition to fostering physical health, the camp seeks to nurture a love for football, one of Nepal’s most popular sports, from a young age. Certified coaches accredited by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will provide training, ensuring that participants improve their football skills. Outstanding trainees from the camp will have the opportunity to receive a one-year scholarship at the Twelve Football Training Center. Since its inception six months ago, the center has been providing grassroots-level training to aspiring footballers, with weekly sessions held every Saturday.

The camp will run from Chaitra 28, 2082, to Baisakh 5, 2083, at the NSF Sports Complex in Satdobato, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The registration fee is NPR 5,000. The focus of the camp is on entertainment, skill development, passion for the sport, and progressive training to foster a new generation of footballers.
