Openly Setting Up Business in Land Revenue, 6 Middlemen Arrested

Apr 02, Kathmandu - Police have arrested six people for entering the Land Revenue Office, Bharatpur without authorization. The District Police Office, Chitwan, arrested them on Thursday (today).

The office has issued a notice and banned the entry of unauthorized persons. This decision was taken after complaints were received that some unauthorized persons entered the office while providing services to service recipients and deceived and cheated the service recipients.

The office has clarified that from now on, only the concerned persons coming to avail the services and the land service operators registered as per the law will be allowed to enter the office premises.

Similarly, the office has stated that service-related work will be carried out only on the basis of the application submitted by the concerned person and the documents submitted by the land service operators registered as per the law.

In addition, it has been made mandatory for land service operators to bring their identity cards with them when entering the office. The office has urged the service recipients not to rely on unauthorized persons and to adopt the official process.
