RSP Appoints Balen Shah as Parliamentary Leader, Poised for Prime Ministership

Mar 26, Kathmandu - The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which emerged as the largest party in the Falgun 21 election, has appointed senior leader Balen Shah as the leader of the parliamentary party.

The central committee meeting of the RSP held on Thursday passed a proposal to elect Balen as the leader of the parliamentary party. After the proposal to make Balen the leader of the party was passed, Chaiman Rabi Lamichhane congratulated him and wished him a successful tenure.

“Heartiest congratulations, best wishes, and best wishes for a successful tenure on behalf of the parliamentary party,” Lamichhane said in a brief speech.

Earlier, the RSP had agreed to make Balen the leader of the parliamentary party and the future Prime Minister. Balen has been selected as the leader of the party in accordance with the same agreement. As the largest party, Balen will take the oath of office as Prime Minister on Friday.
