Gang Behind 'Bike Hospital' Garage in Lalitpur Busted for Stolen Motorcycle Trade

Mar 21, Kathmandu - Authorities have busted a gang operating a garage named ‘Bike Hospital’ in Mahalakshmi Municipality-5, Tikathali, that was involved in buying and selling stolen motorcycles. 

According to Lalitpur District Police Office, a raid on the garage resulted in the recovery of multiple motorcycles stolen from various locations. Police Superintendent Gautam Mishra revealed that the gang was involved in altering engine and chassis numbers of stolen bikes and creating fake documents to facilitate their sale.

The suspects detained include 23-year-old Vishal Mahto, originally from Barahathwa Municipality-2, Sarlahi; 29-year-old Bhim Bahadur Adhikari from Narefanta, Kathmandu; and 27-year-old Sanjeev Kumar Kuswaha from Brindavan Municipality-9, Rautahat, currently residing in Koteshwor, Kathmandu.
Police recovered four motorcycles from their possession: a KTM Duke 250, KTM Duke 200, Royal Enfield 350, and KTM Adventure 250.

The suspects are under investigation for charges related to theft and forgery. Authorities have increased surveillance on organized gangs involved in such illegal activities, particularly those involved in the theft and sale of vehicles with counterfeit documents.
