Mar 20, Kathmandu - The government has announced a public holiday on Saturday (tomorrow) in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Islamic festival. The notice, issued on Friday and signed by Additional Secretary Anand Kafle, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, states that the holiday is granted in honor of the Eid festival.
According to the notice published in the Nepal Gazette on Falgun 15, 2081, the government has officially designated this day as a public holiday. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also extended best wishes to Muslims both within Nepal and abroad, celebrating the occasion.
