RPP Appoints Gyan Bahadur Shahi as Parliamentary Leader; Khusbu Oli Named Chief Whip

Mar 19, Kathmandu - The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has elected Gyan Bahadur Shahi as the leader of its parliamentary group. Khusbu Oli has been appointed as the party's Chief Whip.

The decision was made during a meeting held at the party's central office in Dhumbarahi on Thursday, where the parliamentary party and leadership roles were finalized.

Khusbu Oli, who was appointed as the Chief Whip, told Annapurna Post, “I have taken on the responsibilities of the party's parliamentary leader and chief whip, with Gyanendra Shahi being designated as the parliamentary leader.”

Gyan Bahadur Shahi was elected from Jumla and is the only MP from RPP to have been directly elected in the constituency. Oli was elected through the proportional representation system.

The RPP secured one direct seat in the House of Representatives and elected four members through proportional representation in the recent general elections.
