Mar 19, Kathmandu - 110 MPs elected through proportional representation have been given certificates of election under the House of Representatives election. The Election Commission organized a ceremony at the commission premises and provided certificates of election to the proportional representatives.
Under the proportional representation system, the National Independent Party has won 57 seats, the Nepali Congress 20, the Nepal Communist Party (UML) 16, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) nine, the Shram Sanskriti Party four and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party four.
In the total 275-member House of Representatives, 165 people will be elected through the direct election system and 110 through the proportional election system.
Report to be submitted today
The Election Commission is preparing to submit a report including the final results of the House of Representatives election to the President today. Immediately after distributing certificates to the newly elected MPs under the proportional representation, the Commission team is preparing to go to Sheetal Niwas. With this, the path to the formation of a new government will be paved.
