Mar 14, Kathmandu - The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) has finalized its list of proportional representation (PR) lawmakers. During a Secretariat meeting held today at Gundu, Bhaktapur, the party confirmed the names of its PR MPs. UML secured a total of 16 seats through proportional representation.
Based on the party's overall vote count, UML secured 16 seats in the PR category. According to the list released by UML, five members from the Khas Arya group and four from the Indigenous and Tribal groups have been selected as MPs.
Among the Khas Arya women, former Minister Padma Aryal, Tuka Bhadrama Halami, and Yashoda Kumari Baral, representing marginalized regions, have been included. Male representatives include Guru Prasad Baral and Pushpa Raj Kandel.
From the Indigenous and Tribal cluster, roles have been assigned to Bhumila Subba, Gangadevi Shrestha, Rambahadur Thapa Magar Badal, and Kulbhakt Shakya. The Madhesi cluster has three representatives: Ringle Yadav, Yashoda Kumari Yadav, and Chandreshwor Mandal. Two Dalit representatives—Bishnumaya BK and Nita Ghatani—have also been selected.
Additionally, Kriparam Rana from the Tharu cluster and Sajida Siddiqui from the Muslim cluster have been included. The finalized list will now be sent for official approval to the Election Commission.
