Mar 13, Kathmandu - Internal discussions are ongoing in the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSPon who to send to the proportional list.
Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, along with senior leader Balendra Shah, two vice presidents DP Aryal and Swarnim Wagle, and a team of experts are discussing the names to be sent to the proportional list.
Party President Rabi Lamichhane is not attending public events due to ill health, but is holding virtual and at-home meetings to discuss sending names to the proportional list.
According to top party leaders, the RSP is preparing to hold a round of meetings by Friday evening. If they do not agree, the leaders say that there is a possibility of holding a secretariat meeting and a central committee meeting on Saturday.
The details of the proportional list will have to be submitted to leaders close to Balendra Shah along with Bibeksheel Sajha Party and the RSP leaders.
On Thursday, the Election Commission wrote to the parties that won seats in the proportional list to select and submit their candidates within three days.
The commission has finalized the seats that the parties will get in the proportional representation. According to which, 6 parties have got seats in the proportional representation.
In the proportional representation, the RSP got 57 seats, the Nepali Congress got 20, the CPN (UML) got 16, the Nepali Communist Party got 9, and the Shram Sanskriti Party and the RPP got 4 seats each.
