Pakistan's Recent International Cricket Performance Draws Criticism

Mar 13, Kathmandu - In recent times, the Pakistani cricket team has been facing a series of disappointing performances on the international stage. Most recently, during the ICC T20 World Cup held in India and Sri Lanka, Pakistan was eliminated in the 'Super-8' stage.

Under the captaincy of Salman Agha, Pakistan's performance in the T20 World Cup was seen as unsatisfactory, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among supporters. Following the World Cup, the team is currently engaged in a One Day International (ODI) series against Bangladesh.

However, Pakistan has struggled to deliver strong performances in this series as well. In the first match of the ODI series, Pakistan suffered an eight-wicket defeat to Bangladesh.

This result has sparked anger among Pakistani supporters and former players alike. In response, former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali has blamed the team's poor performance on head coach Mike Hesson.

"Mike Hesson is the biggest culprit for the poor performance. He should be the first to be held responsible (metaphorically). He instructs players to score at least 60 runs in the power play. Has he ever played cricket himself?" Basit Ali questioned.
